INTRODUCTION TO POTTERY BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE COURSE
Classes run all year!
This course is suitable for beginners and intermediates or more experienced
potters wishing to experiment with smoke firing.
Sessions are on Wednesdays and Saturdays and you can choose to attend as frequently or
Infrequently as you like.
-Basic hand building, pinch pot, press moulding, slab building
-Basic throwing and mould making
-Smoke firing process
-Preparing work for firing
-Loading and firing a smoke fire kiln
There classes are term time only
Whether you are an absolute beginner or have experience working with clay, Helen can teach you to throw on a potters wheel and improve your skill level, so within a couple of lessons you can make a functional object such as a vase, cup, dish or plate.
The course leader, Helen Harrison, has a Masters Degree in ceramics and 30 years experience working with clay. As a member of Devon Guild of Craftsmen she exhibits and sells her ceramics widely in Galleries across the U.K.

Lessons will be £30 per Hour and run term time Tuesday to Friday inclusive 10.30 til 11.30 with a maximum of two people on each course.
