We will ONLY be doing surgeries for residents of Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and York Counties.

Due to the fact that there is a shortage of low-cost clinics, we have been inundated with clients driving 3-4 hours just to take advantage of our services. While we sympathize with their situation, we need to help our local residents first.

If you make a surgery appointment and don’t live in one of the four Counties listed, your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged a $5 credit card fee for payments under $100 and a $10 fee for payments over $100. Our goal is to spay and neuter as many cats and dogs as possible, but our focus must be Adams County. Preventing unwanted litters decreases the overwhelming amount of homeless animals coming into the shelter.

CANCELLATIONS WILL RESULT IN A $5 CANCELLATION FEE FOR PAYMENTS UNDER $100 AND A $10 FEE FOR PAYMENTS OVER $100. (DUE TO CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES).

IF YOU DON'T SHOW UP FOR AN APPOINTMENT, CALL TO CANCEL 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR DROP OFF TIME, FEED YOUR PETS AFTER 8PM THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY OR IF THE PET IS AGGRESSIVE AND SENT HOME BY OUR STAFF, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $50 CHARGE. THE REMAINING FUNDS WILL BE REFUNDED

Surgery drop off is between 8:00-8:30AM (we open at 8AM to drop off surgeries even though the shelter is closed. Only 2 people allowed in the building at a time) A pick up time will be given to you at drop off. All surgery animals should NOT HAVE ANY food after 8PM the night before surgery (water is fine). PICK UP TIMES are usually between 11am-4PM (we will give you a more precise pick up time at drop off)

Directions

1. Choose the appointment type you want to schedule and the quantity of each type of appointment

2. Choose any "add-ons" that you want with the appointment and choose the date for the appointment(from the available dates)

-it will tell you how many appointments are available and you can only schedule 30 days in advance (ie: if surgery is available for June 1st, it won't show up as available on the schedule until May 1st, then June 2nd will show up on May 2nd and so on) IF NO APPOINTMENTS ARE SHOWING AVAILABLE, THEN WE ARE BOOKED UNTIL THE NEXT DAY OPENS UP ONCE WE FALL WITHIN THIRTY DAYS OF THE SURGERY DATE

3. Fill out the questions on the intake form completely (and confirm that you have read the terms and conditions)

4. Pay for the appointment using a valid credit card

5. You will get an email reminder confirming your scheduled appointment

EACH OWNED CAT MUST COME IN ITS OWN CARRIER. The carrier's door and lock must be in working order. ALL OWNED CATS MUST BE UNDER 5 YEARS OLD! Cost includes: surgery and a small tattoo indicating he has been altered.

TNR CATS MUST COME IN A LIVE TRAP. Cost includes: surgery, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine and an ear tip (to signify the cat has been altered). The ear tip and vaccinations ARE REQUIRED. You may rent a "live" trap from the shelter for $5/week. PLEASE DO NOT SCHEDULE MORE THAN 10 TNR APPOINTMENTS PER DAY!

Male dog 5-40lbs. ALL dogs must be at least 5 months old but NOT older then 5 years. Cost includes: surgery, pain meds, elizabethan collar (to prevent chewing/licking at incision), and a small tattoo indicating he has been altered. NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS!
