Introduction to Aerial Arts - Mixed

Sundays, 11 am - 12 pm, January 8, and February 5 and 12, 9:30 am Jan 15
This is the class for people who haven't done aerial arts before! Open to all body types & fitness levels. This class will offer different apparatus (silks, sling, or dance trapeze) each day depending on the needs of the students attending. After taking 5-6 classes, students move to continuing level classes in their desired apparatus.

Age Limitation: 16+

Introduction to Aerial Arts and Level 1 - Hammock/Sling

1 hour @ $32.00

Wednesdays 5-6 pm through Dec 2022. (No class Nov 23 or Dec 28)

This is the class for people who haven't done hammock or sling before, or have only tried aerial yoga and want to learn more skills. Open to all body types & fitness levels. Students will learn basic inversions, poses, panel transitions, and wraps. After taking 5-8 classes, students can move to Level 2.

Age Limitation: 16+

Introduction to Aerial Silks Series - February

3 hours @ $90.00

Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm, February 2, 16, and 23 (3 weeks - no class Feb 9)

This is the class for people who haven't done silks before! Open to all body types & fitness levels. Students will learn basic climbs, inversions, and wraps. After taking 5-8 classes, students can move to Level 2.

Aerial Mini-Retreat Weekend: Show Your Stuff

Feb 17-20, 2023
This weekend of aerial focuses on the choreography process, musicality & movement foundations, creative connections, and culminates in a show - recorded and photographed to share!
Meals and snacks included, provide your own transportation to Madison and lodging.
Local students will get class credit for hosting a visiting student!
Silks, sling, dance trapeze or lyra*. Beginner thru intermediate. *Double-tabbed, supervision only

Beginner 2/3 Silks

1 hour @ $35.00

Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm, Nov 3 - Feb 23 (No class Nov 24, Dec 22 or 30, Jan 26 or Feb 9)

This class is for continuing students who can climb and hip key proficiently and invert from the floor. Work on new skills, transitions, and sequences that are challenging but accessible.

Pre-requisites are proficiency with climbing (you will be expected to work at height at times), get into hip key from russian climb, and at least an emerging ability to invert on the ground without a knot.

Beginner 4-5 Silks

1 hour @ $35.00

Thursdays 7:30 - 8:30 pm, Nov 3 - Dec 15, Jan 5-19, Feb 2, 16, and 23

This class is for continuing students who can invert proficiently and are working to invert in the air. Work on new skills, transitions, and introductory drops and beats.

Pre-requisites are proficiency with ground based inverts and emerging in-air inverts, ability to work at height consistently and has taken Theory 101.

Ages 16+

Sunday Silks - Levels 1-3

Sundays, 11 am -12 pm, Sept 4 - Dec 18, No class Oct 9, Oct 23, Nov 27

All continuing students in this mixed level class are welcome! Each week we will focus on a foundational skill, and students will work on variations and sequences depending on their current level. Inversions off the floor will not be used in this class.

Students must be 16+

Sunday Silks - Levels 3+

Sundays, 12 -1 pm, Sept 4 - Dec 18, no class Oct 9, Oct 23, Nov 27

All students in level 3 and up are welcome! Each week we will focus on a sequence that has variations and stopping points for different levels. Inversions off the floor will be included.

Students must be 16+

Sling Levels 2 - 4

1 hour @ $35.00

Wednesdays, 6-7 pm, June 22 - Dec 22. No class Nov 23.
This class delves deeper into new skills, flows, and choreography. Sling is an amazing blend of the flexibility of fabric and the support of apparatus you can sit on! Come find your flow ♥

Prerequisites: At least 6-8 classes in Intro and Level 1 sling. Be able to climb to diaper and change between closed and open panel.

Dance Trapeze Level 2-3

1 hour @ $35.00

Tuesdays, 7:30 - 8:30, Sept 6 - Dec 20

If you have completed at least 6-8 classes of Introductory and Level 1 Dance Trapeze, come and work on more challenging mounts, skills, sequences, and start working in the ropes!

Classes will offer multiple variations of the same foundational skill and students may choose what fits their level!

Students must be 16+

This class is non-stop fun! We will spend time swinging, spinning, orbiting, and rocking underneath and around dance trapezes, slings, and silks. Classes will work on fun swinging patterns, duets and weight sharing, sequences to music, creating fun silks sculptures, and lots of creative play!

Brand new students and continuing students ages 8 to 14 are all welcome!

Youth Intro to Aerial Arts, Grades 3-8 Tuesdays Winter 2023

1 hour @ $33.00

This class is for kids 7-15 new to aerial arts. Sign up for weeks that work for you! Students must take a minimum of 6 intro level classes to master skills required to progress to the continuing youth classes.
