Exploration of STEM Engagement Activities with minimal teacher lead instruction. Students will explore the Exploration Station for the full class time. Teachers and Chaperones explore and supervise their students during Maker Space time.
EXPLORE AERONAUTICS (Tuesdays)
Aeronautics and Space Propulsion – An overview of the history of NASA Space Programs and the principles of flight. Newton’s Law’s, principles of rocketry and Space Launch System components.
EXPLORE HUMANS IN SPACE (Wednesdays)
NASA and Kennedy Space Center Current Events The importance of supporting research and technology in space. Living and working in the Space Environment. Information about the Space Launch System and the International Space Station and time to explore the exploration Station.
EXPLORE MOON, MARS, SOLAR SYSTEM AND BEYOND (Thursdays)
Exploration of the Earth, Moon and beyond, exploration of the Solar System, and the benefits of space exploration. Current Events with NASA and Kennedy Space Center
EXPLORE TECHNOLOGY (Fridays)
Basic Robotics/Engineering Design Challenges that demonstrate Space flight operations and space communication/technologies.
Educator In-service Workshops and Pre-service Workshops [Full Day]
Educator professional workshops provide aerospace education programs and activities for elementary and secondary teachers. These workshops meet national curriculum standards associated with math, science, and technology, as well as correlate to the Sunshine State Standards. While supporting national education goals and existing standards for science, mathematics and technology education, these programs reflect NASA's mission requirements. The workshop can be customized to meet your needs.
