Private, 1 on 1 conversation/support utilizing my expertise. Common subjects: the lactation profession, mindfulness, infant feeding. You share your thoughts, ask questions, suss out conflicting information etc... 1 email sent to summarize the things we said. Not a consultation, whereas I would create a report on my assessment, a plan of care, and provide 2 weeks of remote support subscription with follow up video chats. If that sounds more like what you need book a virtual consultation with me.

We assesses the current feeding relationship, and devise a realistic plan of care (POC) to support you in meeting your goals. I follow up with the details of our visit, the POC, as well as resources and referrals that we talked about. Includes 2 weeks of remote support, following the visit. A follow up visit is typically recommended, to assess how the POC is working for your family, and adjust it so that it is sustainable, for the coming months.

Prepare your priorities and plan for how you want to feed your baby. Know if there are any factors that might delay the secretory phase of lactation (often called "milk comes in"). Know the signs that you need more support, and how to get it. Explore prenatal hand expression. Most birthing centers offer a breastfeeding class, and it is highly recommended. This visit is a supplement to those types of courses.
