We will be closed on Tuesday the 24th and Wednesday the 25th of May for a much needed family break. The shop will reopen as normal on Thursday 26th.
We are accepting walk-in's for gait analysis. However, if you choose not to book, then you might have to wait until a member of staff is available
For the analysis, we start off by measuring the feet ... we find very few adults know what size their feet measure. We then go through a few simple exercise drills with you, looking at balance, coordination and mobility. These exercises are very straight forward and non impact, even our lovely 92 year old customer manages these absolutely fine. Then, finally you get to try on some shoes based on our recommendation. This is where we video record you running or walking on the treadmill to check that the shoe is holding you nice and stable, you might repeat this part of the process to try on different shoes. If you have never been on a treadmill before, that is fine, you can walk/run up and down the store. The goal is to find a shoe that you like the feel of, but also one that holds you nice and stable.
If you are concerned or nervous about any part of the gait analysis then please book in with Liam who works in a more private area of our store.
We advise you wear something comfortable and not too restrictive. And please wear socks.
Please Read - If you are buying shoes from us on the day of your appointment, then the gait analysis is free of charge and all part of the service. However, if you just want to have the gait analysis and not buy shoes, a £30 fee will be charged at the end of your appointment. This can be redeemed off a pair of shoes, if purchased within 30 days of your appointment.
Select either 'Liam' or 'Tracy' below to check availability and book your appointment.
Occasionally your appointment might be with Tyler.
