This modified Sun Style class, based on Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis program, could be just what the doctor ordered. We will guide you through gentle movements and help you understand how to use your body most efficiently.

This is a level 200 class designed to challenge Sun Tai Chi students to grow deeper in their practice and understanding of applied form work. To join this class, you must be able to demonstrate the full Sun Tai Chi for Arthritis Form sequence without any prompting. We will explore deeper into the Qigong Principles and bring in additional challenges such as the sword form Sifu Chris created based on this Sun Tai Chi set.

Meditation is a skill that is trained and cultivated to meet your specific needs. Over the past 4 decades, working in corporate, senior living, behavioral health, military and law enforcement communities, Sifu Chris has developed simple, effective techniques to train even the busiest minds to settle. This class is an introduction to these simple techniques and an opportunity to practice together with constructive feedback to move your forward on your meditation path.

This program is based on our Training Mindfully with Qigong Principles (TMQP) Workbook & DVD which may be purchased separately to support the classroom training. Students of TMQP Qigong begin by training an easy to learn collection of movements (forms) which can be performed seated or standing. Each form is repeated slowly, with a natural breathing cycle, allowing time to create meaningful internal connections before moving on to the next form.

Together we will explore seasonal changes based on 5 Element Theory and Qigong practices designed to take advantage of these natural cycles. No previous experience necessary. The initial consultation will help you and Sifu Chris get to know each other and the tools he uses in Medical Qigong Therapy. This will help you better determine if this modality, and practitioner are a good fit for your healing path.

When you work to relax your body, quiet your mind and settle your heart, whatever is in your way, will show up, asking for attention. Sifu Chris works to provides a safe space for you to listen deeply to this internal dialogue.

Follow up Medical Qigong Therapy sessions are scheduled as needed to help guide you towards your stated goals. You will provide Sifu Chris with feedback on your training and homework assignments as well as general observations between now and the previous visit. Keeping a journal and adhering to assigned practices is strongly encouraged to help this process move forward efficiently.

Tuina Asian Bodywork helps open painful / uncomfortable stagnation and blockages in the body through gentle kneading, pulling and oscillating techniques. This coupled with energetic channel opening and Qigong technique prescriptive training helps invite the body to realign and prepare for a new path forward. When needed, Sifu Chris can also bring cupping and Gua Sha techniques into the session to help release scar tissue and stubborn fascial adhesions.

Imagine yourself lying on a massage table, warm and comfortable. Our Vibrational Sound Therapist gently places bowls on, and around you. As the bowls are lightly struck, your mind drifts to the delicate, naturally soothing sounds. The bottom of each bowl sends vibrations through your body gently releasing deep tension. The bowls are moved periodically, between the shoulders, back, lumbar & legs, to directly stimulate a release of tension. You will leave feeling, refreshed and very relaxed.
