We are currently seeking people who can provide a foster pet a home for 2-6 weeks.
Our BIGGEST need is for foster homes that can house a medium or large dog or young kittens

This appointment is for assisting cat owners with rehoming their pet.

This appointment does not guarantee surrender nor adoption outcomes; surrendering a pet cat may be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Shelter conditions and population will be considered and may result in appointment rescheduling or cancelation.

Found a stray dog within the city limits of Modesto, Ceres, Patterson, Waterford, Hughson or the unincorporated area of Stanislaus County? No more than ONE dog per appointment. Please check online for lost dogs who may match, take it to your local vet to get it scanned for a chip, and walk it around your neighborhood; most dogs are found just blocks from their house. If none of this works then schedule an appointment to bring the dog in, we will help you based on space.

Stray cats 2 pounds and over - MUST BE IN LIVE HUMANE TRAP.
(1) cat per appointment and (1) appointment per person AND address per week - ID and proof of address required at time of appointment.
Appointments not providing exact address where cat is trapped are subject to cancelation.
Cat owners and current voucher users, please help us keep cats from entering the shelter by continuing to utilize the free voucher program for spay and neuter.
DO NOT TRAP ANY CAT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE A SCHEDULED APPT.!

Traps are rented at $2.00 per day with a $65.00 refundable deposit fee. Limit of 2 Traps. Traps can be rented up to 2 weeks.

To participate in a trap rental, you must have one of the following:
-Stray Cat Intake Appointment
-SCATE program appointment
-proof of appointment for TRN with a private veterinarian

To schedule an appointment for animals that have already been tagged by a 501c3 rescue that now needs to be picked up to transport to the rescue.
*$20 per dog to cover microchip and rabies vaccine-not optional

To schedule an onsite evaluation of an animal that a rescue is interested in but may need more information. We allow 2 evaluators at each appointment due to the current Pandemic. You are required to list the 1-2 evaluators below so we are aware who is on site. If you are requesting to do a dog to dog test during your evaluation you are required to put two animal ID numbers below.
