Privacy Policy: The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) uses third-party software (Acuity, owned by Squarespace) to manage appointments. Your personal information (including your name and contact details) will be collected by DFAT via Acuity to book your appointment and for related purposes. By proceeding with this booking, you are consenting to the collection of this information by Acuity on DFAT’s behalf for these purposes. If this information is not collected, DFAT’s ability to arrange your appointment will be limited. Your personal information will be handled by Acuity in accordance with Acuity and Squarespace's Privacy Policy, and by DFAT in accordance with DFAT’s Privacy Policy.
All applicants 16 years and older must appear in person.
You MUST book an appointment for each application.
HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
1. COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION FORM and FIND YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER
Please fill out the application prior to booking the appointment, as it will be required to answer the intake questions when booking the appointment. If you do not already have an application form, go to www.passports.gov.au to complete it now. Forms have a bar-code in the top right hand corner that begin with 111 or 778. This is your application number. It is NOT the PIN that is sent to you via email. Appointments without a valid application number will be cancelled.
2. GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE TO SELECT YOUR APPOINTMENT TYPE & LOCATION
Enter the name of the person who will attend the interview. You need to know what type of form you are using (PC7 or PC8). PC7 forms have a 71G barcode at the top of the page and are one page long. PC8 forms have a 81F barcode at the top of the first page and are five pages long.
3. CHOOSE YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME
We may readjust your time by up to 15 minutes in order to fit in as many clients as possible. If your interview time is adjusted, you will receive a notification by email. You MUST book an appointment for each application
4. RECEIVE APPOINTMENT DETAILS AND LOCATION VIA EMAIL
This usually occurs within 5 minutes. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam/junk folders.
SCHEDULING MORE THAN ONE APPOINTMENT?
Start by selecting one of the application type you require - eg. child application. After you finalize your appointment, you will then see the option to add make another. You will then need to select the second application type and so on for each additional one. You MUST book an appointment for each application.
