- This year, due to COVID-19, we are running our business differently and require reservations for PYO. Please read all of the following information it’s actually very informative and will provide answers to most all of your questions. THEN scroll to the bottom of the page to make your reservation.
- Reservation time slots only open up a few days in advance.
- MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
- NO MASK- NO ENTRY- NO EXCEPTION !
- Reservations are able to be made for the same day as long as there is openings. If you do not see the day/time open on the calendar, then we are booked.
- Risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and possibly death.
- Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to visit C.N. Smith Farm.
- By visiting C.N. Smith Farm you voluntarily assume all risks related to any potential exposure to COVID-19.
Remember to maintain a 6 foot distance between you and other customers. And wear a mask.
- The farm can be very crowded most days, even with guidelines in place. The best way to avoid crowds is to come early, come on time, come during the week or shop online for curbside pickup.
- NO OUTSIDE BAGS ALLOWED.
PYO APPLES PRICING
- Option #1 - Peck Bag: $30 - Provides you with ONE (1) bag and allows 1 to 3 people into the orchard with that ONE bag. Peck bags hold 10 lbs of apples. Approximately 25 apples depending on size of apples. ex: larger apples take more room than smaller apples so your count may vary
- Option #2 - 1/2 Bushel Bag: $45 - Provides you with ONE (1) bag and allows 1 to 5 people into orchard with that ONE bag. 1/2 bushel bags hold 20 lbs of apples, approximately 50 apples depending upon size of apples. ex: larger apples take more room than smaller apples so your count may vary.
Additional people are $6/person or we suggest reserving the next size up bag OR make another additional reservation. **Adding on an additional person does not provide you with another bag, It only allows one more person to be admitted into orchard with your current bag selection. If you have a large group, for example 10 people, this would require two separate reservations. You may also purchase additional bags when you arrive. $30 for a Peck or $45 for a 1/2 bushel.
CHILDREN 3 YEARS OLD OR YOUNGER ARE FREE AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO COUNT THEM IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN YOUR GROUP.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- We require a valid credit card to reserve your time. If you would prefer, you can pay in advance with card or use your card to reserve your spot and pay in cash in person. Please select the correct option at check-out. If you do not show up to your appointment your card will be charged. Sorry, we do not offer refunds.
- Look over your reservation information to ensure that you have booked the correct day and time. In addition, that everyone in your group is paid for.
- If you are meeting others for picking, please contact the other members of your group to ensure that you are all meeting at the correct location.
- When checking in, please be ready with your confirmation email and method of payment if you haven’t paid prior to check in. This includes the type of bag you have reserved, the time your reservation is, and the name on the reservation. This helps the check-in process go faster.
- Arrive ON TIME for your appointment, this ensures the correct number of people are in our orchard at that time. We are not responsible if you are late to your appointment or do not show. We reserve the right to deny entry into orchard, even if you call us and tell us you will be late or if you arrive on the wrong day. We have a limited number of appointments for the hour and if we are fully booked, coming in at different times causes overcrowding. Pay attention to your booking time/day and double check yourself. Your reservation is your responsibility.
- We DO NOT provide refunds, so please be mindful.
- We are not responsible for delays that may occur en route to your appointment

- Our farm stand is open 7 days a week from 9am - 5pm if you would prefer to purchase produce already picked. You can also place an order online for curbside pick-up.

Please try to arrive for your appointment 5 minutes in advance.
Upon arrival, follow the signs on South Street and enter the orchard through the dirt access road.
Please do not enter at the main farm stand, if you find yourself at the main farm stand: you want to continue past the farm stand a 1/4 mile down the street. Look for the apple signs
Once you get to the orchard, head over to the red wooden apple building to have a staff member check you in give you your bag(s) and tell you where to begin.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you must, you can reschedule your appointment. You will be unable to cancel your appointment, only reschedule. PYO is subject to change due to weather, crop conditions and COVID-19 guidelines. If we are closed due to weather you will be responsible for rescheduling your appointment.
DUE TO COVID-19:
MDAR (Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources) released guidance for Pick-Your- Own Farms. These guidelines are to protect the health and safety of our staff and guests. We also abide by CDC regulations.

We ask that you maintain a 6 foot distance between yourself and others.
Customers who do not have masks or cloth face coverings will not be allowed in PYO harvest areas.
Ages 2 years and older must wear a mask.
We encourage that you wash your hands before and after picking. We will have hand washing stations available and hand sanitizer.
Eating or sampling fruit in the fields is not permitted, by order of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Customers will not be able to bring their own containers to pick into. In addition, no back packs or bags allowed into the PYO field.
The animals will be closed to the public and we are limiting the number of customers in our farm stand, greenhouses, and Pick Your Own Areas
Our Health & Safety Pledge
The health and safety of our guests, staff, and animals is paramount to C.N. Smith Farm. As we prepare to open pick your own, we pledge to do our part to keep you safe by enhancing our already-stringent cleaning protocols and by implementing these additional courses of action:
Staff health. Staff follow a self-certifying process before starting each work day.
Increased disinfecting routines and cleaning protocols.
Hand washing stations will be readily available at the pick your own field.
Minimizing opportunities for “touch,” including touchless pay systems.
Staff will wear face coverings and utilize gloves when working with the general public, with other employees, and while handling produce and food products. If staff are working independently on an outdoor project they do not have to wear a mask.
All vehicles and tools will be cleaned and sanitized regularly
Retail spaces and PYO fields will comply with appropriate social distancing guidelines, and follow all State regulations.
Some areas of the farm may need to remain temporarily closed.
We will operate at a capacity that follows state guidelines for PYO, including proper social distancing and limiting the number of guests per acre in the fields.
A reservation system will be used to book picking times. This will help us manage the crowds and state guidelines for PYO more effectively. We may offer walk-ins, call for more information
We will provide all packaging for picking, and for purchases in the Farm Store. No reusable containers at this time.
Hours of operation for Pick Your Own Fruit: Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday 9am - 4pm.
As we monitor demand, protocols and guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we may add more picking times, or alternatively, need to limit the number of guests in our fields.
Your Pledge to Us
Stay home if you, or someone in your family/group is sick, have a vulnerable immune system, or are considered at-risk as identified by the CDC – including those who are over the age of 65 or those who have severe underlying medical conditions.
Self-certify that you are have not had any of the following symptoms:
A fever or measured temperature above 100.3 degrees or greater
A cough or trouble breathing within the past 24 hours.
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore Throat
New loss of taste or small
Stay home if you have had “close contact” with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19. “Close contact” means living in the same household as a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, caring for a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, being within 6 feet of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 for about 15 minutes, or coming in direct contact with secretions (e.g., sharing utensils, being coughed on) from a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, while that person was symptomatic.
Stay home if you have been asked to self-isolate or quarantine by their doctor or a local public health official.
Upon entry to any retail space or the PYO Fields wash your hands, and wash and/or sanitize your hands frequently throughout your visit at the farm.
For the safety of other guests and our staff, face coverings are REQUIRED are required during your visit to the farm. Following state guidelines, anyone over the age of 1 will need a mask and to wear it properly during your time at the farm.
Follow social distancing guidelines by maintaining at least 6-feet of physical distance between groups.
Refrain from gathering on site with large groups of non-family units
Children must have parental supervision at all times and STAY WITHIN ARMS REACH.
