Learn about the indigenous Miwok culture with a visit to Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park. Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, this park protects a sacred Miwok site that was home to a Miwok village for generations until the arrival of European settlers. This site also contains the largest grinding rock in North America.
