Thank you for your interest in horseback riding lessons and camps with HMC Equestrian LLC! Please see our class and camp descriptions below and let us know if you have questions about the appropriate class or camp for your riding ability. Riders must have a private evaluation lesson and/or permission from an instructor before signing up for Intermediate, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2 lessons.
Private and semi-private lessons are available at various times and can be scheduled online or by emailing us at: hmcequestrianllc@gmail.com.
Holly Croney, owner of HMCE and lead instructor, plans to teach all lessons and camps, but please note we may have some guest instructors from time-to-time. In particular, Jamee Albright plans to return to teaching this spring! She will teach lessons on Thursdays and some Sundays as well as concurrent private lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Miss Holly and Miss Jamee look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Advanced Campers will take their equestrian knowledge, horsemanship skills and riding to the next level with more intensive in-barn education and riding lessons! Advanced Camp is open to Intermediate, Advanced 1 and 2 students only. Campers must be able to
confidently post the trot, canter and jump at least 18". If you are not sure if your camper is ready for our Advanced Camp, please email us at

NEW!!
In Barn Grooming & Horse Care Group Lessons
We are now offering an In Barn Grooming & Horse Care Group Lesson! In these lessons, students will learn how to properly groom, tack, and care for horses. Lessons will also focus on safety working in and around horses as well as proper barn care. This group lesson will be offered in the barn only; no horseback riding lesson included. We strongly suggest all students new to HMCE and all beginner students register for these in barn group lessons! Students are required to attend at least 5 of these in barn group lessons before being considered for intermediate or higher horseback riding lessons.
APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING POLICY:
Lessons may only be rescheduled, and these changes must be made up to 48 hours before the start of your class. No lessons may be rescheduled within 48 hours of the class start time, regardless of illness or emergency. We cannot accept lesson cancellations at any time. Credit for rescheduled lessons must be used within one calendar of original payment date.
Private lessons scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings (10 AM private only) will run concurrent with our group lessons. If inclement weather is forecast for those days, HMC Equestrian may reschedule any private lessons or may hold in-barn education lessons in place of private lessons if riding outside is not feasible due to weather. On these occasions, group lessons will still continue on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings but will be held in our indoor ring. We will notify private lesson clients as soon as possible if we need to reschedule. If HMC Equestrian needs to reschedule your private lesson, we will work with you to find another private lesson time that works with your schedule.
If a Day Camp registration must be rescheduled, the Day Camp registration fees may only be applied to another Day Camp that same year. If a Summer Camp must be rescheduled, the credit may only be applied to other Summer Camps that same year. Also, all changes to camp registrations must be made up to 60 days before the start of the first day of camp; camp registration changes cannot be made within 60 days of the start of the first day of camp. We cannot accept camp cancellations at any time.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURES FOR LESSONS:
Please be on time and arrive 20-30 minutes before your lesson start time to groom and tack your horse. Late arriving students will still be expected to groom and tack their horses and may miss part of the in saddle portion of the lesson. Also, please stay about 20 minutes after your lesson to untack and turn out your horse (if asked to do so by our staff).
Also, all parents and guardians must remain on the premises while anyone 16 years old or younger is riding in a lesson. Horseback riding is a high-risk sport, and accidents may happen. Therefore, parents and guardians must remain onsite in case of emergency.
If you don't have your own helmet, we have helmets for students to borrow and can help you find the appropriate fit.
Speed limit is 5 mph on the farm! Please drive carefully and watch for horse and humans! No dogs or other pets allowed on the farm.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURES FOR CAMPS:
Parents and guardians must come into the barn to sign in each camper at drop-off and sign out each camper at pick-up. On the first day of camp, parents and guardians will be asked to verify emergency contact and medical information that we have on file for the camper. Parents and guardians do not need to remain on the premises during camp.
COVID PRECAUTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
If a student or someone in the student's immediate family is exhibiting symptoms of COVID or has been exposed to someone with COVID, please do not come to the barn for your lesson until every family member has been cleared in accordance with CDC guidelines.
