For everyone's safety, we are keeping a strict maximum of 5 customers in the store during browsing times. Please do not show up with extra guests; we will only honor the number of appointments you purchase.
NOTE: This is a browsing appointment; please come prepared to peruse our shelves. If you already know the exact titles you desire, remember that Web Orders and Phone Orders continue to be the safest and most efficient way to purchase your books.
Appointments cost $5.00. You will receive this $5.00 per appointment as store credit upon your arrival. This credit never expires and can be used on the day of your appointment, or on any other future purchase.
Guidelines for safety:
EVERYONE IN OUR STORE MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES. We mean it. All shoppers over the age of 2 must be masked. Masks must cover the nose and mouth for the entire time you are in The Book Stall. We will provide disposable masks for you to use if you do not have your own. If you are unable to wear a mask, we will provide accommodations, but you may not enter the store.
ONLY WEAR PROPER MASKS. At this time, per CDC recommendations, we will NOT allow gaiters, face shields, or masks with ventilation valves. And please, no t-shirts pulled over the nose. We have 3-ply surgical masks on hand for you to use during your time within our store.
SANITIZE YOUR HANDS UPON ENTRY. We cannot police the amount of touching involved with shopping. Please keep your hands hands clean. Know that your fellow shoppers sanitized before they browsed.
NO FOOD OR DRINKS. Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the store while browsing. Natch.
DISTANCING. Maintain your space and keep a healthy level of separation between yourself, booksellers, and others shopping in our space.
What to expect:
It isn't "business as usual" around here. The store is rearranged; plexiglass is up; and we are busy processing phone and web orders. We will be prepared to help you, even as we keep our distance. To make the best of your time, please come prepared with titles and subjects in mind. We'll let you know when the end of your shopping time approaches.
If you fall ill and test positive for Covid-19 within a week of shopping at our store, please reach out to us, so that we can monitor the health of our employees.
