Airside Vehicle Operators Permits (AVOPs) certify airport employees to drive airside, which means authorization to drive on Aprons, Taxiways, or Runways according to AVOP type.
Download and complete the AVOP Application form and bring it with you to your AVOP appointment. A copy of the Airside Traffic Directives (ATD) & AVOP Manual is available on the YYC AVOP Office Website.
For any process or standards questions, please refer to the ATD & AVOP Manual or your designated company tester.
Please note: cancellations within 24 hours, failure to arrive at an AVOP appointment on time, or arriving to an appointment without the required items will result in a personal fee of $100.00 being charged before the corresponding AVOP service will be delivered. Please see Appendix D in the ATD & AVOP Manual for more information.
Office Walk-ins are not accepted.
Please note: The AVOP Office does not offer Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A) testing. The ROC-A testing program is a Government of Canada program and examiners can be found here.
Please select an available appointment for the AVOP type and drive/test you require. Bookings are only made available for appointments between the next three to thirty calendar days.
Not sure where your selected meeting location is? Refer to the maps in the Airside Traffic Directives & AVOP Manual.
