Deposit Policy

  • To secure your appointment, a nonrefundable and nontransferable deposit of $40 is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be credited toward the total cost of your service. Please send your deposit via Zelle to swankbraids@gmail.com; this is the only accepted method for deposits.
  • It is essential to be ready to make your deposit when booking, as your appointment will be canceled if the deposit is not received immediately. Please note that I will not send reminders regarding deposit payments or hair color submissions, so ensure you complete these tasks promptly.
  • Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable unless I need to cancel your appointment.

  • The best way to reach me is via text at 707-714-6496. I prefer text messages or Instagram DMs, as these are the easiest methods for me to respond to at the end of the workday.
  • Please note that I do not handle braid appointment inquiries via email. For the quickest response, please contact me through text or send me a direct message on Instagram.
  • Please reserve email for business collaboration inquiries only.

Cancellations and Changes

  • Your health and safety are a top priority. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, such as congestion or sneezing, please do not come in for your appointment. Should you arrive with any symptoms, I will have to ask you to leave, and your deposit will be forfeited.
  • Cancellations made on the same day (within 24 hours of your appointment) will result in a booking restriction, and you will not be able to reschedule. To avoid any penalties, please do your best to cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Additionally, please be certain of the style you wish to book, as changes to your selected style cannot be accommodated due to scheduling constraints. The price for the originally booked style will still be due.

Payment

  • All payments must be made in cash only. Please ensure that the remaining balance is paid in cash at the time of your appointment, as alternative payment methods may incur additional fees.
  • To facilitate a smooth transaction, please bring the exact amount, as I do not carry change.

Preparation Guidelines

  • Please arrive with your hair clean, product-free, and stretched as much as possible.
  • Hair should be thoroughly blow-dried straight from root to tip
  • Proper blow-drying is essential; you should be able to run a fine-tooth comb through your hair with ease. A blow-dry fee will be applied if hair is not adequately prepared.
  • If you're booking a braid service for the first time and need guidance on what to choose, please reach out to me via text. I’m happy to assist you in selecting the right service for your needs.

Important Notes:

  • Please select the earliest available time when booking. For example, if both 11am and 4pm are available, choose 11am. Only select the 4pm slot if no earlier time is available that day.
  • Hair color must be selected at the time of booking. If not specified in the notes, I will use the colors I have available that day
  • I am currently unable to take clients with blunt ends—please do not book if your hair has blunt ends.
  • Hair must be at least 4 inches all around and 6 inches for boho locs
  • If you have any allergies, please inform me in advance to help prevent any potential allergic reactions to the products I use
  • If you require a fast braider, I recommend seeking another stylist, as my focus is on quality and detail.

Comfort and Convenience Offerings

During your appointment, you’ll have access to light snacks, cold water, and freshly brewed coffee.

You’ll also have full control over TV entertainment, with the added comfort of a fleece or heated blanket.

If you choose to order delivery, I recommend copying and pasting the exact directions provided above for accuracy. If you need any assistance, feel free to ask me while you're in the chair

If you need to work remotely, I’ve made computer stands and charging ports readily available for your convenience.

Your comfort is my top priority, so if there’s anything else I can provide to enhance your experience, I’d be more than happy to assist.

Arrival Guidelines:
Please arrive on time for your appointment. A 10-minute grace period will be provided; after this time, your appointment will be canceled unless you have communicated with me in advance. If you wish to be seen after the grace period, an additional fee of $15 will apply, and you will be allowed an extra 5 minutes. After 15 minutes, service will not be provided unless otherwise discussed.

Guest Policy:

For your appointment, no extra guests or children are permitted. Please do not bring children to the shop.

Health Policy:

If you are experiencing any cold symptoms, please do not come to your appointment. In such cases, your appointment will be canceled on the spot, and your deposit will be forfeited.


Squeeze-Ins and Same-Day Appointments

  • If you would like to book an appointment on a date that is currently unavailable, please send me a message to inquire about the possibility of a "squeeze-in." This option incurs an additional fee of $100 on top of the service cost.
