Are you having trouble getting your new pup or a new addition to do his toileting outside? This is your session. We will talk about routines for feeding, taking the pup/dog out on a schedule and naming the behavior so you can give your dog a que to do his business in the designated place. Learn how to enroll your family and staff to help get this right very quickly. This is usually just one session, but once in a while we need to revisit and tweak things a bit for success.

Does your dog pick up rubbish on a walk, have trouble being handled at the vets or sometimes nip at children, guests or other dogs? Muzzle training is a step by step process (starting with measuring for a correct fit, ordering or buying the correct muzzle then teaching your dog to happily wear it for saferinteraction and vet experiences. This includes tips on making a feeding tube for providing treats while wearing the muzzle to keep it a happy experience for your dog!

Learn step by step how to desensitize your dog to the car, so trips are more pleasant. Many dogs experience fear, anxiety and actual drooling or vomiting in the car to due previous unpleasant car experiences; ie going away from their mother and all they knew until they came home with you or going to the vet for jabs and nail clipping etc. Most dogs outgrow car sickness and learn to love the car with a process to desensitize them to the car.

In this session we cover common new puppy problems; housetraining, nipping, chewing, teething, jumping, sleeping areas and feeding schedules. I also go over a list of questions you should cover with you vet; vaccination routine, deworming, tick & flea prevention, spay/neuter, closure of the growth plates. This is usually for people that have gotten a new puppy are struggling with housetraining, sleeping etc and would like urgent help more quickly than I have an opening to get to them for a in home visit
