Effective July 26, 2021, the State of
Connecticut transitioned to a new Fingerprinting Identification
System. All persons being fingerprinted must pre-register
with the State. This allows faster processing time when coming in to
be fingerprinted. Those who pre-register will be given and
Identification Number. When you arrive for your fingerprinting
appointment, you will give the officer you Registration Identification
Number and your information will be retrieved through the new Fingerprinting
Identification System.
Pre-Registration Information
Fingerprint cards are $5.00 each.
- Pistol Permit Applications:
- One single cashier's check or money order for $70.00 - not a personal check.
- Copy of your drivers license.
- Copy of your birth certificate OR passport.
- Copy of your NRA safety class.
- Application must be completely filled out and notarized.
- Employment, Pardon or out of state fingerprint cards - bring the required card or KNOW WHICH CARD IS REQUIRED.
- ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION WITHOUT NOTICE DUE TO HIGH CALL VOLUME
