Here is the latest information about COVID Vaccines and booster shots:
Age Limits: Pfizer- ages 12 and up, Moderna- ages 18 and up, J&J- ages 18 and up
Booster shots: The CDC has approved a third dose of Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines for all immunocompromised patients no sooner than 28 days after the second dose was given. The following is from the CDC website:
Currently, CDC is recommending that moderately to severely immunocompromised people receive an additional dose. This includes people who have:
People should talk to their healthcare provider about their medical condition, and whether getting an additional dose is appropriate for them.
For all other patients who are not immunocompromised, the CDC has approved a booster dose of Pfizer and Moderna vaccine starting September 20th, and no sooner than 8 months after receiving the second dose.
Please review the following information before your appointment to make this as efficient as possible.
1. Please fill out this form and bring it with you to your appointment
2. Review the Moderna Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), Janssen Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) or Pfizer Emergency Use Authoriztion (EUA)before your appointment. We will be available to answer any questions before you receive your vaccination.
3. Register for v-safe, a web based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Our team will provide you with the vaccine information you need at your appointment.
Please note that the appointment time to be screened and receive the vaccine could take up to 15 minutes, and you will be required to stay an additional 15-30 minutes after your vaccination for adverse effect monitoring. Please plan appropriately.
