Pregnancy is a great personal journey for any woman and is a time of mental and physical change. It can also be a challenging time, as adjustments need to be made as the body starts to change shape.
A pregnancy yoga practice can help address some of these changes in a positive way. Women who practice yoga during pregnancy are able to be really present in their bodies and connect with their unborn child. Yoga has a calming effect on the mother, which is, in turn, transmitted to the baby.

Tai Chi is a combination of moving, standing and sitting meditation exercises. These help those who practise it regularly to become stronger, healthier and happier.
Our Tai Chi classes follow the Yang family system. This is the most widely practised Tai Chi system in the world. The slow natural graceful movements were once used as a powerful martial art system. Nowadays, they are now used to strengthen mind and body and, in addition, to help slow down the effects of ageing.

Yin yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice where poses are held for longer, with the focus being to work on the connective tissues and joints of the body.
This class is a combination of different yoga techniques. We look at posture and breath work, as well as mediation and relaxation techniques. In addition, we explore how a yoga practice can stretch the body and quieten a busy mind, thus encouraging greater peace and happiness.

This is an energising flowing dynamic class, based on the ashtanga vinyasa yoga system of synchronising breath and movement. We will work on both strength and flexibility in what is often described as a moving meditation. By moving from posture to posture in a flowing grounded sequence, internal heat is created and stamina is enhanced. A tonic for both mind and body!

Restorative Yoga seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props (such as eye bags, blankets, blocks and bolsters) helps you to maintain balance, whilst stimulating and relaxing your body.
This type of yoga suitable for all, especially those returning to a yoga practice after a spell away and those working with injuries or health conditions. Restorative yoga allows individuals to switch off from the hectic pace of everyday life and tune into themselves.
