Primary Sound

This is a new scheduling system that will hopefully make it easier for you to schedule time. There are a few things to note;

  • Jacob Belser (me) is the owner and main engineer, but has limited availability. You may find that booking time with him engineering is not possible on all days or times.
  • Other engineers are available at a wider range of times, but as they are freelance it is hard to guarantee if they'll be available for the exact time you like. There may be times where the freelance engineer doesn't meet the requirements of the session, but I will try to communicate with you about that.
  • Please give a basic description of the session, especially if I don't know you or if we haven't previously discussed the project. Also let me know if you would like to use the studio's drum set, bass, or guitar amps.
  • The piano is well maintained, but a professional recording demands a tuning as near to the session as possible. A piano typically will not stay in tune for "recording quality" for more than a few days, maybe a week.
  • Since this calendar is a new experiment, there could be some errors in scheduling, particularly when booking small amounts of time or when using outside engineers. I'll do my best to communicate about bookings.

  • Standard Recording Session (1-7 members), setup time not included. Choose this for any type of studio activity, such as tracking (recording), overdubbing, editing, mixing, or mastering. Schedule the time you plan to arrive.

  • Large Ensemble Recording Sessions (8 or more members), basic pre-session setup and post-session teardown included.

  • Remote Recording (6 hour minimum)
