Join us for our Christmas Pet Photo and Enrichment Event. Start by enjoying some Christmas themed activities and check out our dog related items for sale. Next, proceed to the photo room where we will have holiday themed props for your pet photo. A digital copy of your photos will be posted on FB and emailed to you. Each dog will have the room to themselves so reactive dogs are welcome. Dogs reactive toward people will not have their photo taken by a photographer but the backdrop will be available to you.

For dogs that have existing behavior problems such as fear, aggression, reactivity, anxiety or lack of proper socialization. After the scope of your pet’s problem behaviors are defined, you will be matched with a trainer and can set up a series of private lessons to address each specific problem behavior. Your dog will receive a physical (or visual) exam based on their temperment, establishing them as a medical patient with Dr. Belock. This will allow Dr. Belock to prescibe medications as needed.

For dogs that have existing behavior problems such as fear, aggression, reactivity, anxiety or lack of proper socialization. After the scope of your pet’s problem behaviors are defined in the consult, you will be matched with a trainer and can set up a series of private lessons to address each specific problem behavior. Veterinary Primary Care visits are designed for dogs to receive vaccines and heartworm testing or to address minor illnesses/injuries. Canine Body and Mind is not equipped to handle emergencies or conditions requiring anesthesia/surgery.

Group classes are for dogs who are friendly toward other dogs and people. If your dog has an existing behavior problem (fear/aggression/excessive barking) you will need to sign up for Puppy Private lessons first.

Private lessons are a great option for puppies who are waiting to join a group class but would like to get started on training or those who may be overwhelmed by group classes due to fear, anxiety or reactivity in that setting. After learning some basic skills these pups will progress to lessons with one other dog at a time or can join a group puppy class.

No time for puppy socialization? Drop off your pup for a 1.5 hr private outing with a trainer at various locations within the community. Trainer will work on socialization & basic obedience. Emphasis will be placed on creating positive introductions to novel stimuli, encouraging exploration and preventing/addressing over arousal. Package includes 4 outings. First session will be at our training center (owner stays for this session). Select your start date/time for your first session.

NO CLASS ON LABOR DAY. Second level puppy class for dogs who have attended group class in the past or adolescent pups who have already been introduced to basics.
Class focuses on responsible pet ownership, positive socialization and expands on the manners and basic obedience concepts introduced in our previous class. Concepts such as, mat work, polite greetings, default leave it and door manners will be introduced. A medal and certificate is awarded upon meeting class requirements.

Dogs participating in group classes must be friendly toward people and other dogs. Basic obedience and manners skills will be introduced. If your dog displays aggression or reactivity toward unfamiliar people or dogs they should sign up for a behavior consult first.

These half hour private lessons are for anyone who would like to work toward passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. Dogs signing up for these lessons should be friendly toward people and other dogs. If your dog has problems with reactivity, aggression or fear around people or dogs, they should sign up for a behavior consult first. Once you and the trainer feel that you are ready, we will administer the test.
$65 for each 30 minute private lesson

Select the start date and time for your 6 week class. This class is meant for dogs who already know basic obedience skills and are preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. The test will be administered during week 6. CGC certification is a great pre-req for dogs working toward their Therapy Dog certification. Dogs participating in group classes must be friendly toward people and other dogs.

This course is a 6 week private lesson series which covers the foundation skills to help dogs willingly accept or tolerate various types of handling required for veterinary/grooming visits. Dogs must be non-reactive toward people. We cover all 10 skills from the TEAM Level 1 Cooperative Care Certificate. This course is a 6 week private lesson series which builds on the foundation skills from level 1. Course focuses on the handling and restraint required for veterinary care procedures including vaccines/blood draws. Dogs must be non-reactive toward people. Each weekly lesson is scheduled independently at your convenience.
Prerequisite: Cooperative Care Course Level 1
Total Cost: $190, due at first lesson

This course is an 8 week private lesson series which builds on the foundation skills from level 1. Course focuses on the handling and restraint required for grooming procedures including desensitization to various grooming tools. Dogs must be non-reactive toward people. Each weekly lesson is scheduled independently at your convenience.
Prerequisite: Cooperative Care Course Level 1
Total Cost: $245, due at first lesson

These training lessons are for anyone wanting to teach their dog to be comfortable having their nails trimmed. Expect for this process to take a minimum of 6 lessons, possibly more if your dog is very fearful of having their nails trimmed. *Please note, do not expect the dog's nails to be fully clipped in these sessions as this is about teaching the dogs to be comfortable. If your dog is reactive/aggressive toward new people in general, you should start with a behavior consult.

Rent the training space for training practice or play time. A staff member will be available on site but will not be responsible for supervision or training of the dogs. No more than 4 dogs at a time are permitted in the space. Each dog owner must provide proof of vaccinations and complete/sign our liability waiver in advance, which will be emailed to the person scheduling the appointment. If you would like to book the space for more than 30 minutes you may schedule back to back appointments.
