Shannon personally crafts the "Mercer House" wines for an experience that transcends typical 'southern' wines. Always unexpected, our 'interesting' flavor combinations are seldom repeated from batch to batch or year to year~ Together, we will explore the creations that evolve from the Winewrights cellar... So leave all your natural assumptions at the door and enter with a fresh heart and mind~
The total number of samples on the bar depends on the seasonal releases, usually 10 - 15 styles, and the occasional 'reserve' wine may also be available. We also offer a few in-house snack options that are normally available. While we do offer a few wines from our estate vineyards, most wines will be a creative blend of 'old-world' grapes and various local fruit or berry wines ("Country Wines").
Be Prepared - The Winery is off the beaten path in the 'country' ~ Don't Get Lost and Please Be On Time... [Late arrivals interrupt the workflow schedule.] Please refrain from using your phones in the tasting studio as the signal interferes with hearing-aids; besides, it's all about the wine~!]
P.S. While we are a Winery, we're not a "Bar"...
Guidelines:
1. The wine studio is limited to reservations, which ensures the finest exclusive experience for guests... There's a valid reason we limit to six(6) guests in the studio. If you arrive with 'extra' guests without prior approval, we may have nowhere to put them, so reach out to share your intent and discuss suitable options.
2. Children are allowed, but some guests find this unique experience more 'flavorable' without the 'distraction' of the underage, including pets.
3. Some snack options can not be prepared with last-minute reservations...
Group Events:
As a small craft winery with a 'staff-of-one' and limiting time options, we can no longer offer space for group events; showers, birthday parties, weddings, etc...
Parking:
We have only 4 spaces. Please share your ride (when possible) and remember that other guests may be scheduled after you and waiting on a parking space...
Communications:
Shannon is 'deaf'~ Voicemails are futile, but texts are profitable.
The 30% Non-Refundable Online Security Deposits will be applied to the total balance which must be paid in cash at the conclusion of the tasting. While there is an ATM available in the studio, it's also a good idea to bring enough cash with you~(Sometimes the internet is sketchy) If something unexpected comes up and it's too late to reschedule, send Shannon a text and we'll find the best solution~
