Àbọ́rú Àbọ́yẹ́ Àbọ́ṣiṣẹ! Bonjou!
Thank you so much for wanting to book a reading with ITOA Médsinn. I look forward to assisting you in your pursuit of on tutu, or balance between the head/thought and heart/emotions. Please select the type of reading you are interested in, and feel free to leave any specific concerns, questions, and deck preference either in your scheduling request or via email at gillette@inthetraditionofourancestors.com. In the event you decide to contact me via email, I ask that you provide your appointment details in the email for ease of flow and vibes. Short descriptions of the reading options and tarot decks are provided below.
You've booked your session, now what?
After the session is booked and payment is received, I will reach out to you via email to schedule a short chat/energy reading with you before I perform the reading/divination to ensure that your needs are within the scope of my current practice. In the event they are not, I will refund your coins during the call and provide you with some recommendations for people who have the level of expertise necessary to respect the sacredness of this work and your needs. If everything is all good, we will have a quick chat, I'll get the necessary info from you to perform the reading/divination, and we might sit in silence for a good bit in order to allow other forms of communication to materialize. The call should take less than 30 minutes. Per the request of my spirits, all readings until 2024 will be performed and the spread with detailed explanations will be sent to you in video form with captions or in script format--we will discuss this in our 30-minute call.
Reading Options
1. Three Card Spread: Basic spread that will get you where you need to go, especially if you just want a general reading and don't have a specific question. There are sooo many ways to shape three card spreads and within my practice, I do the following:
- Linear: I provide two linear spread formations. The first spread looks at you, your path, and your potential and the second spread addresses an idea you have, the process you might take, and what you might aspire to achieve as a result of the idea and suggested process.
- Balanced: My balanced tarot formation looks at the physical state, the emotional state, and the spiritual state.
- Foundational: This tarot formation will look a situation, tease out some of your strengths and areas for growth and then provide an avenue for action.
- Conflicts/Obstacles: This formation is going to assess a blockage that may be in your life and how to overcome it or how to cultivate inner peace as you work through it. This formation is definitely better for specific questions.
2. Five Card Spread: This spread is similar to the three-card spread, but it provides additional insights and has a bit more room for specific questions and complex situations. In addition to general linear readings, I provide the following options:
- On tutu: This spread is focused on healing and growth and really trying to illuminate the factors contributing to our lack of inner peace and love of self, by potentially identifying traumas tied to feeling like you aren't enough, narratives that keep you in survival mode, and how you can begin to work through these, grow spiritually, and advance towards your Destiny.
- Horseshoe: This formation is great for general readings as well as specific questions. It will provide insight into past influences, your present circumstances, warn you of potential unexpected issues, provide you with a suggested course of action, and the predicted outcome.
- Ire Aje: This formation is all about your professional life. It really provides insight into the energy of money, how it governs your life, and how you might best comport yourself to attract the finances, promotion, or job that you are seeking.
3. Playing Card Divination: I love my tarot decks and I live for a playing card divination because of the way it gets to the nitty gritty of the matter. Because this option--in my practice--generally means between 9-12 cards are pulled, when booking this option, you definitely want to have prepared some specific questions or a short list of general concerns you want more insight around. Here are the main formations I employ:
- Destiny Square: This is going to give you the most detailed, nuanced and insightful reading. It looks at self-expression, finances, home life, enjoyment, romantic relationships, transitions/transformational energy around you, the areas you're growing in, your professional life, platonic relationships, and inhibitions. Make sure to provide specific questions as it enriches the messages provided.
- This or That: This formation is specifically for when you are torn between two options/choices and you desire insight into the pros and cons of each options and then provide advice on the option that has more rewards that drawbacks.
- Celtic Cross: This formation is great for specific situations that require more internal reflection, especially if you are in a transformational period and still getting used to this new iteration of self. It will help identify priorities, old habits that no longer serve you, the types of people you might encounter with respect to the situation in question and how you should proceed for the most aligned outcome.
4. Past, Present, Future Spread: This is pretty self-explanatory, I will pull six cards, two for each aspect and provide either general insights or messages that speak to your specific questions/concerns.
**I will use either the Orisha Tarot deck by Andrew McGregor & Obá'tilemí OR the Hoodoo Tarot deck by Tayannah Lee McQuillar. Generally speaking, the Orisha Tarot deck provides more insight into the Laws of Nature that are guiding your life right now and how you can better align with them. I find questions around destiny, on tutu, and cultivating inner peace in the midst of life transitions, ego death/rebirth experiences, and achieving true wealth are best for this deck. The Hoodoo Tarot deck is very connected to the Ancestors--basically if you want the Ancestors to read you for filth--with love--this is the deck I would select. The messages associated with these cards are very "real world" like and often provide you with questions for you to ponder further post-reading. I would just advise that with the Hoodoo Tarot deck you have specific questions because I promise you the reading will be sooo much more colorful and illuminating for you that way.**
