"Yin yoga is like a conversation with your body; listen carefully and you'll learn profound truths." - Paul Grilley, Yin Yoga: Principles and Practice
Jane offers private 1:1 yin yoga sessions on Sundays at Waratah Holistic Health. She has been practising yoga for 25 years and is proud to have been trained as an instructor by Wuji Medicine and Nin Yoga, where she teaches classes.
Yin yoga is a deeply restorative practice that involves holding passive postures, seated or lying down. While dynamic yoga asana practice actively engages the muscles, yin yoga practice addresses the fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joints.
The depth and efficacy of your practice can be greatly enhanced by private instruction in which the postures are tailored to your unique body and mind, and to your state on the day you come in. Private sessions are also great for people who don't enjoy the group class environment.
Other benefits of private yoga instruction include:
- receiving the teacher's undivided attention;
- the opportunity to refine your understanding of a given posture;
- an approach that responds to your body's history and its daily challenges;
- options to explore other aspects of yoga practice, including breath practices and meditation.
Jane welcomes everyone from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Yin yoga is a practice for all bodies and all abilities. Please wear loose, warm, comfortable clothes.
