Welcome to the City of Santa Barbara Business Tax Certificate help appointment system. Please select a date and time to obtain in person assistance with filing your City Business Tax Certificate online. All appointments will be held at City Hall, located at 735 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. The appointment will be located at the computer station in the main floor lobby of City Hall next to the City Ambassador.

An in-person appointment to receive assistance applying for a new business tax certificate. Come prepared with your email, a new username, new password, and payment. Payment methods include credit/debit card and E-check.

Annual Business Tax Certificate Filing - Current Renewal of 2025

20 minutes

An in-person appointment to receive assistance renewing the business tax certificate for the current tax period of 2025. The business tax certificate is valid from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Come prepared with your email, a new username, new password, and payment. Payment methods include credit/debit card and E-check.

Annual Business Tax Certificate Filing - Renewal for Period Prior to 2025

An in-person appointment to receive assistance renewing the business tax certificate for a past due business tax period, prior to 2025. Book one appointment per tax period. Come prepared with your email, a new username, new password, and payment. Payment methods include credit/debit card and E-check.
