Learn the art of neon! This introduction to neon glassblowing teaches basic glass bending, cutting, and splicing, and basic pattern bending as you create your own take-home neon light.

In addition to teaching neon bending skills, this one-time 8-hour class includes clear glass, a transformer and mounting hardware. This class meets on Saturday, December 14 from 10 am - 6 pm.

Level One workshops will cover safety techniques for working with glass and glassblowing torches. No experience required.

This special experience for two revolves around a bespoke piece of neon art that you'll work ahead of time with our team to create. During your class night you'll get a hands-on learning demonstration with one of our in house artisans. At the end of the night you'll take home your personalized neon art!

Only one person needs to register, up to two people may participate. No experience required.

Level One workshops will cover safety techniques for working with glass and glassblowing torches. No experience required.

Level Two builds on all the skills learned in our Level One class. Dive deeper into designing and working from a pattern, complex bends, and adding more colors.

This class includes clear glass and supplies to make one finished neon light, additional color glass and supplies are available to purchase at the studio. This 4-week, 10-hour class meets Thursday evenings from 7-9:30pm for four consecutive weeks.

Lightwriters Level One or similar prior experience required.

Workbenches are available for rent by the hour at $30 per hour. We supply basic tool. Renters are required to supply their own safety glasses, blowhose, and glass. Glass is available for purchase on-site. Bench rental time is only for benders with prior experience.

Skills and Safety
Bench renters must complete a Level One class, or a short written exam detailing your prior glassblowing experience. Each renter must also sign our electronic waiver and participate in a 30-minute safety orientation.
