Any vessel wishing to launch in Lake Berryessa sooner than the required 30-day quarantine period must have a hot-water decontamination performed by certified Lake Berryessa staff. These vessels are allowed to launch immediately following decontamination. Decontaminations performed at another facility will not be valid unless a seal is applied to the vessel.

The decontamination is currently free and will take place at Steele Canyon Recreation Area, 1605 Steele Canyon Road, 6 miles north off highway 128.

All decontamination requests must be made in advance and will be first come, first served.
