Any vessel wishing to launch in Lake Berryessa sooner than the required 30-day quarantine period must have a hot-water decontamination performed by certified Lake Berryessa staff. These vessels are allowed to launch immediately following decontamination. Decontaminations performed at another facility will not be valid unless a seal is applied to the vessel.

The decontamination is currently free and will take place at Steele Canyon Recreation Area, 1605 Steele Canyon Road, 6 miles north off highway 128. Additional decontamination units are currently being constructed and new locations will be coming soon.

All decontamination requests must be made in advance and will be first come, first served.

We are unable to accommodate requests made in less than 24 hours.

If there are no bookings available on the calendar, it means that there are currently no openings. Staff are actively being trained in this procedure to increase decontamination availability.
