WELCOME!

Reminder - you can only book up to two weeks in advance.

Trying to decide which appointment type is right for you?

  • ZOOM/VIDEO - video appointments allow us to screen-share any document so that we can read, discuss, and edit together. This is the most similar to an in-person experience and has proven just as effective!
  • EMAIL - you can upload or email an assignment (Word document), and at the appointment time, your tutor will read and add comments/suggestions. When the appointment slot is over, you will receive feedback by email. Note, this is NOT an editing service. We will not edit or correct your paper, but we will be as thorough as we can in helping you see areas to improve and making suggestions on how to do so.
  • IN PERSON - if you are on campus, you can connect with an ALC staff member face to face. This type of appointment has flexibility in that the conversation can pivot based upon your needs.
  • PHONE - if you have a quick question, the phone is a good way to have a conversation with the ALC.

The “RULES”:

  • All students are permitted a maximum of 2 hours of ALC support per week, unless you have approved Accessibility Accommodations or have special permission from the Academic Learning and Accessibility Coordinator or the Dean of Students.
  • You can only book up to two weeks in advance (so you won’t see availability beyond that)
  • If you want to request regular weekly appointments, please email or book an appointment to discuss a schedule for your recurring appointments.
  • If you need to cancel, please do ASAP to allow the slot to be open to other students. Failure to cancel and not showing up could result in limits to your ALC access in the future.
