Our Long Bow Experience days are full of fun and enjoyment as you learn to shoot the famous Longbow! This is an immersive experience where dressing up is encouraged as you join a band of brothers who practiced archery together as childhood friends, travelled together and then fight for King and country together on the battle fields of Europe

Learn the skills of a knight! Immerse yourself in this exciting half day multi activity session. Learn to master the blade with our warrior training, our sword master will teach you genuine techniques. Then onto the projectiles range where you will use the cross bow. Finally no warrior training is complete without axe and spears! Learn to through like a true champion.

Now Strike Archery Ltd proudly offers you the unique opportunity to learn the skills of your ancestors who lived some 600 years before you. Shooting one of our longbows is much more than just archery, it is connecting with the past and embracing your heritage through a simple wooden bow.

The Longbow Master Class is aimed at new and experienced archers alike who want to shoot an English Longbow. Lessons last up to 2 hours with sessions and group sizes that are exclusively limited to ensure that personal coaching is received. This is a perfect day for those who have already attended our Longbow Taster Sessions.

Learn to make arrows the traditional way!
This one day course will take you through making your own arrow shafts by hand from straight grained timber. You will learn how to insert horn for strength before cutting the nock.
Our instructors will then teach you the secrets of fletching using traditional glue and fine silk
You will spent part of the day in the Forge crafting an authentic bodkin arrow head to complete your replica arrow

Learn to make your own arrows!
This one day course will take you through preparing your own arrow shafts from straight grained timber before cutting the nocks.
Our instructors will then teach you the secrets of shaping the feathers into fletchings and then whipping them to the shaft.
Lunch is included and you can take home as many arrows as you can make in the day.

Now Strike Archery is proud to offer this exciting course where, over two days and under full tuition, you craft your own longbow.
Starting out with a blank tri-laminate stave you learn to shape the bow using traditional hand tools before tillering to learn what to look for in the bend as you work it to “full compass”. You then go on to shape and fit the horn nocks before adding an arrow pass and making your own string.

A 1 day course to introduce you to making arrowheads the traditional way! Over the course of a day you will learn how to form a socket and draw down a simple square bodkin. If time allows you will then start to look at different types of bodkins and start practicing making them. We will also discuss and practice methods of hardening arrowheads,

An introduction to general arrow smithing skills where you'll learn to make a bodkin. This course is excellent when combined with our war arrow making course

3 Hour taster for life in the Blacksmith's Forge. Here you start at the beginning learning some basic skills in metal wizardry to manipulate hot metal. Learn to manage the fire, then draw a point, taper, scroll and twist to make your very own drinks holder. Then finish the session with some new skills by making a bottle opener.

On this full day experience you have the opportunity to make BBQ sets, glass holders or a fire set

An introduction to general knife making skills - this is where all bladesmiths start. Learn how to manage the fire, draw down a point and make a basic viking knife. Includes selecting materiel appropriate to the task and working with the common tools such as tongs. We highly recommend that you have attended one of our Black Smithing courses first to gain valuable hammer skill.
