The classic technique consists of applying one lash extension to one natural lash.
Mink & Silk are just names used to describe synthetic lashes made of PBT.
Mink lashes tend to appear more matte and are cut much thinner than silk lashes at the tip. This provides for a more 'natural', light look.
Classic Sets are a great place to start as a first-time client.
