Each week the class focuses on a particular area or condition of the body or mind such as Anxiety, Osteoporosis, Upper Back - Neck - Shoulders, Lower Back - Hips - Sacrum, Digestion, etc. You'll learn how adaptations to postures can support the movement of energy to relieve symptoms or to enhance function.

Ashtanga yoga is an energetic, focused practice. Class consists of a series of postures practiced in the same order each time, linked with a strong breath. We start class with sun salutations, then standing and seated postures. Class ends with backbends and inversion practice, followed by savasana. As the sequence of postures becomes familiar, the practice becomes a moving meditation.
