Hoyt Arboretum is dedicated to environmental education, and students of all ages are central to our mission.

Our museum of living trees has more than 6,000+ trees and 2,300 species from around the world planted along 12 miles of trails. Located just outside downtown Portland, Hoyt Arboretum is an ideal location to explore and learn.

To register for a field trip or a class, select the date from the calendar and fill in the required information in the form before submitting. We look forward to learning with you at the Arboretum!

Among the Trees (K-1st Grade Field Trip)

1 hour 30 minutes @ $7.00

This inquiry-based curriculum introduces Kindergarten and first graders to key tree structures and their functions. Students will use movement and all their senses to explore trees and nature at the Arboretum.
